The Challenge
GoIdentity approached us with an innovative concept: a platform that helps individuals understand, build, and manage their digital identity and social reputation. In an increasingly connected world, people struggle to understand how they are perceived online and lack tools to proactively manage their digital presence.
The client needed a platform that could aggregate social signals, provide meaningful identity scoring, and give users actionable insights to improve their online reputation—all while maintaining strict privacy controls and user trust.
Our Solution
We designed and developed GoIdentity as a comprehensive digital identity management platform that empowers users to take control of their online presence through insights, tools, and proactive reputation management.
Identity Scoring System
At the heart of the platform is a proprietary identity scoring algorithm that analyzes multiple factors to generate a comprehensive reputation score. The system evaluates social connections, professional credentials, online activity patterns, and verification status to produce actionable scores that users can work to improve.
Real-Time Notification Center
We built a sophisticated notification system that alerts users to relevant mentions, connection requests, and changes to their digital footprint. Powered by Socket.io, notifications appear instantly across all connected devices, keeping users informed of their online presence in real-time.
Privacy-First Profile Management
The profile management system gives users granular control over their public information. Users can manage what companies and individuals can access their profile, with OAuth 2.0 providing secure authentication and authorization. The privacy settings panel enables users to customize visibility at a field-by-field level.
Technical Implementation
The frontend is built with AngularJS, chosen for its robust two-way data binding and structured approach to building complex single-page applications. The modular architecture allows for easy extension as new identity management features are added.
The backend runs on Node.js with Express, providing a fast and scalable API layer. MongoDB serves as the primary database, its document model perfectly suited for the varied and evolving user profile data. Socket.io enables real-time bidirectional communication for instant notifications. The entire infrastructure runs on AWS ECS for containerized deployment with auto-scaling capabilities.
Results
GoIdentity launched with strong user adoption, with early users reporting significantly improved understanding of their digital presence.
